Penny's Florist, Home Decor & More has been named Greenfield Main Street's Member of the Month for December. Since 1993 owner Denna Gundrum has presided over the popular floral shop, at 1311 W. Main St., just west of downtown Greenfield. Her mother Penny opened the shop in 1972, but her namesake store is now brimming with not just flowers but also home decor, jewelry and other unique gifts. "Denna has always been passionate about supporting fellow small business owners and promoting the Shop Local movement," said Greenfield Main Street's director Shelley Swift. "She's known as the Shop Small Queen around here because she works so tirelessly to get that message out, especially at the holidays and Shop Small Saturday, which is so crucial for small businesses." The staff at Penny's Florist loves to help customers with floral arrangements, home decorating and special event planning.
